Help
Basic Search
To perform a search using basic criteria, enter information in the boxes shown below:
After entering information as described above, to complete the search, click the button shown in the picture below:
Advanced Search
If the search produces too many results, or does not yield the expected results, you may wish to use the advanced search option. This advanced search menu can be shown by clicking the button shown below:
You will then see the below menu appear:
Use the radio button seen in the above image to choose between:
- (a) Searching by an exact age (seen on the left)
- (b) Searching within a specified range (seen on the right)
If you choose (a), you will be expected to enter a number, representing the deceased's age. However, if you choose (b) you can slide the two handles to choose an appropriate range of when you think the deceased's age at the time of death.
Clearing a Search
To clear any entered information, and reset your page, click the button as shown in the below image:
Choosing a Cemetery
Results are searched within a council, one cemetery at a time. To select your desired cemetery, choose from the combo-box shown below:
Navigating pages of results
When there are a number of search results, these results are split into pages. To navigate between these pages, use the left and right arrows shown below to go backwards and forwards respectively:
Showing results on the map
You can show results on the map by one of the following methods:
- (a) Show an entire page of results on the map
- (b) Show a single result on the map
If you wish to use (a), click the "Show on Map" button displayed in the below image:
However, if you only want to show a single record (b), then click on a row to show the following menu:
Once the menu has appeared, click on the "Show on Map" option to display the desired record on the map
Searching the map
To search using the map instead, click the "Map" tab towards the top of the screen:
Then when the map has loaded, click on a plot to view details:
Printing/Saving the map
To print the map, click on the within the main menu:
Or, use the print button located on the map, to show the print menu and select the "Print" option. If you want to save the map as an image, select the "Save Image" option:
View Cemetery details
When searching records for a certain cemetery, you can view the details for this cemetery by going to the menu and clicking the below icon:
